Artwork Guidelines
Artwork Guidelines
We’ve prepared this guide to help you supply print-ready files. Properly prepared files ensure the best results and help us process your order without delays. If you’re unsure or need help, please choose Hire a Designer at checkout.
Quick Checklist ✅
- All fonts are embedded or outlined.
- Text is legible and sharp.
- Page layout and margins are correct.
- Artwork matches the correct size (A4, A3, etc.).
- Images are linked or embedded in the file.
- Colours are set to CMYK (not RGB).
Bleed & Safe Area
- Add 3mm bleed to any artwork or images that go to the edge of the page.
- Keep important text or logos at least 5mm inside the trim line (safe area).
- This ensures no white edges or accidental cropping.
Colour
- Colours may look different on screen compared to print — this depends on your monitor, resolution, and lighting.
- Always supply files in CMYK for best results.
- Pantone/spot colours may shift when converted to CMYK. If exact colour matching is critical, please request a hard proof.
Image Resolution
- Photos and images: 300 dpi at final size.
- Text or logos saved as images: 1200 dpi recommended.
- Avoid low-resolution web images (72 dpi).
File Formats
- Preferred format: PDF (Press Quality) with fonts embedded.
- We also accept files from Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign — but please export them to PDF before uploading.
Proofs
- A PDF soft proof will be provided for layout and content check.
- Digital proofs are not exact for colour accuracy.
- If precise colour matching is required, request a printed hard proof (extra cost may apply).
